I may well check it out. It’s a shame, because I do love the look and feel of Ulysses, and have been using it near-daily for several years. I’d have been happy to pony up full price for a new release, but I’m not gonna open up my wallet and rent it forever.

And you’re really right about them just needing to branch out into other products if they’re so hurting for revenue… take the UI polish and functionality they put into Ulysses and apply it to some other software use case.
